A shared home for the dogs
Households are available on every plan, with up to five people. Find them in Settings → Account & plan → Household. Each person uses their own Dogoos account; there is no need to share a password.
The pack, read history, keepsakes and care journal are shared. Your sign-in, read allowance, Rex chat allowance, subscription, bones, streak and theme remain yours. Other members can see your account name and who captured a read.
Step by step
Create and invite
Name your household
Choose Create our household and give it a name. Your dogs and their records move into the shared pack. Let Dogoos finish moving the records and photos.
Make an invite
The household owner chooses New invite code, then Share invite. A code lasts 24 hours and works for one person. A new code replaces the previous one.
Invite the next person
Wait for the first person to join, then create the next code. Only one invite code is active at a time. If one reaches the wrong person, making a new code retires it.

Open Join with a code
Sign into your own account and open Household. Enter the code shared by the owner. Opening an invite link alone does not join a household.
Review Bring my dogs, reads & health with me
Leave this on to move your existing dogs and records into the shared pack, where everyone can see them. Turn it off to keep your personal pack separate until you leave the household.
Join and let the move finish
If the app says photos are still finishing, you are already in the household. Keep a connection and give them time to arrive; you do not need another invite.

Allowances stay personal
Each member uses their own plan and read allowance: Pup includes 1 read a day per account. Breed checks, reports and Stories use the access on your account. A household does not pool subscriptions or bonus reads.
Shared care makes it easier to see what someone else already logged. Before adding a meal or dose, check the selected dog and the existing record so you don’t repeat it.

When an invite doesn’t work
An invite may be expired, already used, replaced or mistyped. Ask the owner for a fresh code. If the household is full, someone needs to leave before another person can join.
You can belong to one household at a time. If a change is still finishing, wait and follow the app’s retry message. If the app specifically asks you to contact support about a secure move, send that exact message to our team before trying to remove anyone.

Check what stays before leaving
Anyone can leave; the owner can also remove a member. The person leaving keeps their account and stops seeing the shared pack. The dogs and records contributed to the household stay with it.
If the owner leaves, a remaining member becomes owner. The last member leaving takes the shared pack and records back into their account, and the household closes. If the app asks you to retry that move, use Leave again to let it finish.
Deleting an account has different effects from simply leaving. In a household with other members, shared read history can remain with the author shown as a former member, while that person’s captured keepsakes are removed. The deletion guide and confirmation explain what applies.

Questions you might have
Can I share just the subscription?
Households share the dogs and their records. Plans and allowances belong to each account, so joining does not transfer another member’s subscription.
Will other members know someone joined?
Existing members receive a household-join notice. Keep invite codes private, and check the member list if anything looks unfamiliar.
