When a calendar month is done, Dogoos tells it back beat by beat: a count-up of every time you asked, the month’s moods as a weather forecast, the plot twist, and one of sixteen Mood Types. Every number in it comes from your real reads.

Eight moments from the month
Every read leaves a mood and a confidence score, and usually a keepsake photo. When the month ends, Dogoos lines that month’s reads up oldest first, splits them into eight groups and picks the best read from each: a keepsake photo scores highest, then a mood you haven’t seen yet this month, then confidence. A month of eight reads or fewer keeps every one of them.
The pages around those eight moments have to earn their place. A streak page appears only if there was a real run of days. A plot twist only if two reads within six hours landed far apart on the mood scale. A thin month makes a shorter story, and that’s the one you get. Tap to move on, hold to pause, swipe up for a recap card, and Reduce Motion calms the animation if you prefer.

Real reads, real numbers
The app counts. The AI writes.
Two things make a Dogoos story. The count-ups, the mood percentages, the streak, the plot twist, the badges and the Mood Type itself are all worked out by the app from your own reads. The AI is handed those finished facts and writes the sentences around them, with one choice of its own: which of the month’s moments deserve a superlative, up to three of them.
It writes only from what really happened. No invented events, places, people or weather, and the numbers you see on screen are always the app’s own. The Mood Type arrives already decided; the AI’s job is to celebrate it.

The axes come from the reads. Sunny or Deep is the share of playful and engaged moments, weighted by confidence. Steady or Wildcard is whether one mood took over half the month. Face-first or whole-body is which signal the AI read more strongly. And Sunrise or Moonlight is the typical hour of your reads, which is really about when the two of you have your moments. Put the four together and you get a name: The Sunrise Smiler greets the day face-first, usually with a grin.
Fewer than ten reads, or fewer than five separate days, and you get one of four simpler types built from the two axes a thinner month can support: The Sunbeam, The Free Spirit, The Quiet Thinker (“Calm and deep. Probably about dinner.”), The Enigma. Below five reads the card flips over on The Mystery, “To be continued…”, with a note of how many more reads would settle it.
Every name on the Deep side is warm on purpose. A watchful month gets The Old Soul, or The Midnight Maverick: “After-dark wildcard. The night is full of plots.” Never anxious, never sad. A quiet dog is still a happy story.

It celebrates a month. It doesn’t diagnose one.
What it does

Good to know
- It never invents an event, a place, a person or the weather
- It never jokes about a dog who looked uneasy, or calls a quiet month a sad one
- It never diagnoses. A pattern is something to show your vet, not a verdict on health
Good to know. Story Mode is on Whisperer and Pack Leader. A Tracker Pass doesn’t open it, because every Pass Dogoos hands out, from the wheel jackpot to a referral reward, is a Tracker Pass. On Pup or Tracker the album card shows a lock with a link to the plans.
The quiet months
When the month wasn’t all sunshine
If a month of eight reads or more leans uneasy, with Uncertain and Appeasing together making up 45% of the confidence-weighted mix, the story changes shape. The joke awards and the plot twist step aside, and the writing stays gentle and observational. What it says is that you were there for all of it, and that the pattern lives in your health journal if you want to look closer. If a month worries you, that journal and a qualified vet are the next step.

The things people ask first
Why isn’t there a story for this month?
Because the month isn’t over yet. A story tells a completed calendar month with at least three reads in it, so it arrives once a month, per dog, and every read you take meanwhile counts towards it.
Does the AI make the numbers up?
No. The count-up, the days you showed up, the mood percentages, the streak and the Mood Type are all worked out by the app from your own reads, and the AI writes around those finished figures. Anything it writes that doesn’t match your real reads is dropped before it reaches the screen.
My partner and I share a household. Do we each get one?
You share one. The story is made once per dog, per month, for the whole household: whoever opens it first gets it made, and everyone else plays the same one. How households work.
Can I watch it on a laptop?
Yes, the album and the player both run in the web app. Reads still need a phone camera, so the month gets made on the phone and played anywhere.
