Dogoos walkthroughs
The little things that make up a good day.
Keep meals, walks, health notes and regular bowls together. Choose the dog first, then add the details while they’re fresh in your mind.
Step by step
Keep a useful care journal
Choose the dog in Health
Check the dog selector before adding a weigh-in, medication, appointment or note. Your household shares that dog’s care journal.
Record what actually happened
Add a date, the details you know and any note that will help later. For medication, record the instructions and dose given by your vet. You can correct a saved entry if you mistyped something.
Set the next reminder
Choose a due date, time and repeat pattern. Mark completed care when it is done, and undo a mistaken check-off from the completed list. Notifications are helpful nudges; the Health schedule is the place to check.
Step by step
Log what goes into the bowl
Open Add a meal on Home
Choose the dog and the day and time. For a shared pack, check that another person has not already logged that bowl.
Add each food and portion
A bowl can include kibble and wet food with separate portions. Choose a saved food or enter the details. Where supported, a barcode or food-label scan can help fill them in.
Check and save
Review grams and calories before saving. If calories are unknown, they stay marked as unknown rather than being guessed. Treats are recorded separately from the main meals.
Step by step
Save the regular bowls once
Open Daily routines
You can reach it from Add a meal on Home. Choose the dog and set the usual mealtimes.
Add the usual portions
A mealtime can contain several foods. Choose the date the routine should apply from, then save it. Changing future portions keeps older logs intact.
Log the bowls that happened
Log an individual bowl or the day’s meals. Check the date and completed items so a regular schedule becomes a record of what was actually fed.
Step by step
Review Nutrition with the real details
Nutrition shows today’s meals, recent history and a daily calorie range when there is a usable weight and profile. Keep the weigh-in and food-label information current.
A range is a guide for adult dogs, not a prescription. Puppies and dogs with special dietary or health needs need feeding advice from their vet. The app will say when it does not have enough information to show a useful target.
Step by step
Keep the walks, play and training
Open Add activity or Activity
Choose the dog or dogs and the activity, such as a walk, play or training.
Add time and duration
Use the date, time and duration that fit what you did. Optional notes can capture a route or what you practised. Distance and steps are manual details from your own tracker, not measurements made by Dogoos.
Look back over the week
Activity history makes it easier to compare days. The activity-and-mood view waits for enough information before showing a pattern; it does not prove that a walk caused a mood.
Step by step
Take clear notes to your vet
Use the summary in Health when you want a compact account of recent care. Dogoos builds the document on your device from the records you have kept. Check it before sharing, especially dates, medication details and any notes you corrected.
You can ask Rex to help log care too. Try “We did a 30-minute walk this morning” and check the dog and time before approving. The Rex walkthrough shows how.

Questions you might have
Are these tools included on Pup?
Yes. Health, Nutrition, Activity and Daily routines are available on every plan. AI-assisted scans and Rex chat have their own usage limits, so follow the allowance shown in the app.
Can everyone in a household use the same journal?
Yes. Shared dogs have shared care records. Check the existing entry before adding one, especially for a meal or medication dose.
