Keep updates inside Dogoos, add phone alerts where they help and choose emails separately. Your pack can stay as quiet as you like.

Choose where your updates arrive
Open Settings → Your pack → Notifications. Everyone gets the nine base categories: Daily spin reminder, Streak reminders, Rewards & gifts, Saved reads & summaries, Walk updates, Health reminders, New articles, Dog care tips, and Offers & marketing.
The Household updates section adds seven more: People joining your pack; Shared reads; Meals & nutrition; Walks, play & training; Weigh-ins; Medications & health notes; and Vet dates & care reminders. These appear when you belong to a household.
Business adds one more switch: Paid shop orders. It appears when you operate a place and controls mobile alerts about paid orders.
For Daily spin reminder, Streak reminders, Rewards & gifts, Saved reads & summaries, Walk updates and the seven household categories, tap the row to choose In app, Phone + in app or Off. In app keeps updates in your inbox. Phone + in app adds a phone alert. Off stops that category’s optional alerts.
These operational categories start with Phone + in app. Health reminders and Paid shop orders also start on. New articles and Offers & marketing start Off and need your choice to turn on. Phone alerts still need your device’s notification permission.
Fetch adds four inbox-only categories: Bookings & passes, Orders & deliveries, Reviews, and Business & payment updates. These start In app and offer In app or Off; they do not add phone alerts. The separate Paid shop orders switch controls operator phone alerts. Turning a Fetch category off does not cancel a booking, order or payment.
A delivery choice you have already saved stays as you chose it, including Off and In app. Phone notification choices do not opt you into email or marketing.

If notifications aren’t arriving
Check the category
For a phone alert, choose Phone + in app or turn the relevant switch on. In app updates appear in the inbox without a phone alert. Health reminders and shared household reminders have separate controls.
Check your phone’s permission
Open your device’s notification settings for Dogoos. If permission was denied, the app’s category switch cannot override it.
Check the inbox too
Open the bell in Dogoos for saved updates. If phone alerts are enabled, also check focus modes, battery restrictions and whether your device is online.
Step by step
Give a care reminder a date and time
Choose the dog in Health
Add a reminder and choose the due date and the time. Set the repeat pattern if needed, then save it. Older reminders that only had a date keep their 9am default.
Check the schedule
Weekly alerts repeat without you marking the reminder done. Marking a reminder complete records care; it is separate from the phone’s alarm delivery. The care reminder says “Due today. Tap to tick it off in the Health hub.” Up to 64 Health alarms are queued at a time.
Allow a little flexibility
Health reminders are device notifications and can arrive late because of battery saving, focus settings or your phone’s scheduling. Check the care schedule in Health too, especially for medication.

Choose emails separately
Open Settings → Your pack → Email updates. The optional categories are the daily or weekly brief, inactivity reminders and product news. They start off and require a verified account email when you opt in.
Bone Shop receipts have their own default-off switch. They confirm eligible redemptions rather than adding you to a marketing list. Security messages for account actions are separate from these choices.
Product news includes optional Dogoos updates, tips and offers. Turning on phone notifications does not turn on email, and sending our team a question does not opt you in.
Step by step
Change your mind whenever you like
Turn a category off in Email updates, or follow the unsubscribe link in an optional email. The preferences link lets you review the rest. Your app still works when optional emails are off.
If you changed your primary email, revisit Email updates and make a fresh choice for the new address. If messages continue after unsubscribing, tell our team which kind you received.
Step by step
Find an update after the notification disappears
Open the bell in Dogoos to see your notification inbox. Tap a read-ready note to open the finished read, or a care update to open its related entry. The browser can show the inbox but does not send phone alerts.
Read-ready notes still go to your in-app inbox when phone alerts are off. Household join and removal security notices have separate delivery rules; everyday optional updates follow your choices.
Your own read-ready banner stays until you open or dismiss it. Opening it takes you to that finished read; dismissing it leaves the saved read and inbox note available.
Ordinary action notices close after six seconds, and you can close them earlier with the ×. Read-ready banners and important security or verification notices that need your attention stay until you act or dismiss them.

Questions you might have
Are reminders the same as an email brief?
No. A Health reminder is tied to a saved care schedule on the device. A brief is an optional email summary. Switch either one independently in its own settings.
Why don’t I see household or Business choices?
They appear only when your account belongs to a household or operates a place. The nine base notification categories are available to everyone.
