Tail signals, with context
Look at the rest of your dog and the situation around them, then explore a moment more closely with Dogoos.
A wag does not always mean happy. Look at the rest of the body, the situation and what is usual for that dog. A tail’s position or movement is one observation, not a verdict. Read the Dogs Trust guidance.

What you can observe
Compare with your dog's usual resting shape. Curled or short tails need context.
Describe the sweep, speed and visible tension before guessing at a feeling.
Note the face, posture and surroundings, and whether the dog moved away.
Try a factual note
Example note you could write
“After the doorbell, the tail moved briefly while the body stayed still. The dog then walked away from the hallway. I gave them room.”
This is an invented writing example, not a Dogoos result or a diagnosis.
Actual product example

Dogoos reads a short clip for face, body posture and sound, then shows an interpretation with the cues it noticed. A Read can be wrong. It is not a literal translation, a diagnosis or a decision about whether an interaction is safe.
With Personalised insights enabled, saved profile details such as age and breed can accompany a Read. A profile supplies context; it does not prove how a dog feels.
On Android, create your account, choose your dog and explicitly start a camera Read. Camera and microphone permission are part of that action. Nothing on this guide records you or runs a Read.
