Your dog, beyond a stereotype

Your dog's usual posture matters.

Ears, coat, face and tail shape can affect the cues you can see. Keep your dog’s profile up to date as you explore their body language.

Floppy ears, a long coat or a naturally curled tail can make some movements harder to see. Compare your dog with their own usual posture. Shape and breed give context, not a ready-made answer about this individual’s feelings. Dogs Trust explains individual differences.

Camera mood Reads are available on Android. Core care and profiles can also be opened in the supported browser. A free account is needed to save your record.

What you can see

Make room for individual differences

01

Ears

Describe how they look compared with this dog’s usual position. “Ears back” alone does not establish a feeling.

02

Coat and face

If fur or facial shape makes a small movement difficult to see, write down that limit rather than filling in the gap.

03

Tail

Start with this dog’s usual carriage and visible movement. A curled or short tail needs the same wider context as the rest of the body.

A deliberate preference

What the profile can add to a Read

With Personalised insights enabled, saved profile information, including age and breed, can accompany your Android Read. Review the preference and keep those details accurate.

That context does not mean Dogoos has learned your dog’s personality or can promise better accuracy. The actual Read below shows profile-aware wording; it does not validate the inference.

Genuine Dogoos Read for Skye, showing the interpretation, observed cues and a model confidence label
Genuine, already published Android Read. This is a different dog and moment from the illustration above. The output is an AI interpretation; its confidence label is not measured accuracy.
Static example · no AI demo

Dogoos reads a short clip for face, body posture and sound, then shows an interpretation with the cues it noticed. A Read can be wrong. It is not a literal translation, a diagnosis or a decision about whether an interaction is safe.

With Personalised insights enabled, saved profile details such as age and breed can accompany a Read. A profile supplies context; it does not prove how a dog feels.

On Android, create your account, choose your dog and explicitly start a camera Read. Camera and microphone permission are part of that action. Nothing on this guide records you or runs a Read.
