Fetch · Golf courses

A round with the dog along, where the club says yes

Golf courses near you, nearest first, with the club's number and directions so you can ask about dogs before you set off.

How it works

Every course, and the number to ring first

Open Fetch, pick golf courses, and use your location or a postcode. Every card shows the distance, the club's number and directions, and one of four labels (Listed, Checked, Claimed or Bookable), so you can see at a glance how much has been checked.

Clubs decide about dogs themselves and few publish it, so Fetch lists every course near you rather than guessing. Where Google records that a club welcomes dogs, the card says so; the "Dogs welcome" filter narrows the list to those.

Listed

From Google. Nothing checked by Dogoos yet.

Checked

A person at Dogoos confirmed the dog facts, and the date is shown.

Claimed

The business verified its own listing.

Bookable

Takes bookings through Dogoos, paid straight to the place.

Before you play

What to ask the club

Ask whether dogs are welcome on the course, in the clubhouse or only on the practice ground, and whether that changes on competition days.

Most clubs that allow dogs ask for a lead, so a long lead and a waist clip make the round easier for you both. Bring water: a course is a long walk in the open.

Greens, bunkers and other players' shots are the things to keep a dog clear of. A dog who settles at your feet between shots makes the welcome likelier next time.

Questions, answered

Golf with a dog, answered

Does Fetch only show courses that allow dogs?

No. Clubs rarely publish their dog policy, so Fetch lists every course near you and shows "Dogs welcome" only where Google records it. The card's number is there so you can ask.

Can I book a round in Dogoos?

Not yet. Golf courses list their number, website and directions so you can get in touch with the club directly.

Can I look near a holiday cottage instead of home?

Yes. Type a town or a postcode instead of using your location, and Fetch lists the courses there, nearest first.
