Fetch · Dog walkers

A walker you have met, for the days you can't

Dog walkers near you, nearest first, with what to ask about insurance, group sizes and how a first walk goes.

How it works

Nearest first, clearly labelled

Open Fetch, pick dog walkers, and use your location or a postcode. Every card shows the distance, a number and directions, and one of four labels (Listed, Checked, Claimed or Bookable), so you can see at a glance how much has been checked.

Walkers have no place type of their own on the map, so Fetch searches by the words people use and lists what it finds, nearest first.

Listed

From Google. Nothing checked by Dogoos yet.

Checked

A person at Dogoos confirmed the dog facts, and the date is shown.

Claimed

The business verified its own listing.

Bookable

Takes bookings through Dogoos, paid straight to the place.

Choosing a walker

Meet before the first walk

Dog walkers do not need a licence in the UK, so ask about insurance, canine first aid, and whether they have a criminal record check. Ask how many dogs they walk at once and where; some councils limit group sizes on certain land.

Agree the plain things up front: on or off lead, how your dog is collected and returned, what happens if your dog is unwell, and how they let you know the walk happened.

A first walk with you along tells you how they handle your dog. A good walker will want to know your dog's recall, their habits with other dogs and anything that worries them.

Questions, answered

Dog walkers, answered

Can I book a walk in Dogoos?

Walkers marked Bookable take bookings through Dogoos. The rest list their number, website and directions so you can get in touch.

How do I know a walker is any good?

Fetch shows what has been checked: Listed is from Google, Checked means a person at Dogoos confirmed the dog facts, Claimed means the business verified its own listing. Meet them, ask about insurance and group sizes, and go on the first walk yourself.

Can I find a walker near work instead of home?

Yes. Type a town or a postcode instead of using your location, and Fetch lists walkers there, nearest first.
